Nope, if your AF is on target them you can blame this on timing. Low end tuning is the toughest, on pump gas I was making amazing off idle torque but could not get it to stop pinging with 91 MTBE, so I had to back off timing, and you are litterally working 1 or 2 cells at a time to try and perfect it.

the good doctor said it right...its all in the tuning

i just went w/ a pcmforless tune and get very little surge under 1500... idle is perfect

If you want a cam? you will have camsurge! to some extent or another!,proper converter and gears along w/tuning will lessen it,but it will be there!,I had it w/my hotcam,and I have it w/my cc306!they don't come from the factory like this for a reason!
