Ferocity02 02-09-2003, 02:48 PM I need some suggestions on a lowering kit for a 99 Z28. I have my eye on this: http://www.thunderracing.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=subcategory&subcategoryid=1068 It's the lowering kit about 2/3 of the way down. I'm just curious if this is a good one. Should I get some shocks to go along with it? Also, do you think it will allow enough room for 18's and rubber? Thanks
stik6shift98 02-09-2003, 05:52 PM id only go with a 1inch drop

Lowering your car will make you lose traction. In order to get it back you need some LCA re-location brackets.

stik6shift93 02-09-2003, 07:28 PM In the corners you'll gain traction, in a straight line you usually lose it due to higher spring rates thus less weight transfer.
stik6shift98 02-09-2003, 07:32 PM is it hard to put relocation brackets on....i just remembered they're sitting in my garage.....bmr bolt on kind.....

I think your banging problems had more to do with your choice of header. SLPs hang very low

EvilDCustoms 02-16-2006, 07:37 PM yea about the GRound countrol coilover kit, i got it on my 95z and i love it, the ride isn't bad at all, i just put them on cause i had intrax springs and i hit everywhere, now i raised it with the coilover kit and its awesome, rides nicer and still can barely feel any body roll if any, make sure u good sway bars also if u do autox, my next step is shocks cause im still saving up money so i got stock shocks still and it still rides sweet.
