Lowering Kits, Suggestions

I need some suggestions on a lowering kit for a 99 Z28. I have my eye on this: http://www.thunderracing.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=subcategory&subcategoryid=1068 It's the lowering kit about 2/3 of the way down. I'm just curious if this is a good one. Should I get some shocks to go along with it? Also, do you think it will allow enough room for 18's and rubber? Thanks

Lowering your car will make you lose traction. In order to get it back you need some LCA re-location brackets.

In the corners you'll gain traction, in a straight line you usually lose it due to higher spring rates thus less weight transfer.

I think your banging problems had more to do with your choice of header. SLPs hang very low

Talk to Sam Strano at http://www.stranoparts.com Tell him exactly what you want. He'll tell you what to get. He's very patient and thorough. You could fark yourself and your car of you get the wrong stuff.

yea about the GRound countrol coilover kit, i got it on my 95z and i love it, the ride isn't bad at all, i just put them on cause i had intrax springs and i hit everywhere, now i raised it with the coilover kit and its awesome, rides nicer and still can barely feel any body roll if any, make sure u good sway bars also if u do autox, my next step is shocks cause im still saving up money so i got stock shocks still and it still rides sweet.
