N2O Diminishing return?

At what point does N20 start to deminish in return? When I ask this I mean that for a 13 second guy, a 100shot will put them deep 12's. A normal low 13 LS1 on a 150 is good for 11's.

At what point do you have to raise the bar? I ask because on the corvette forum some guys were arguing that a 150 shot on a mid 10 sec Head/Cam car wont put you in the 9s. I am curious when you have to start raising the bar to see as much of a gain.

If you are a 12.1 sec guy, will a wet 150 take you to 10s? If you are a mid 11 will it take you there?

Just out of pure curiosity where you guys have found you have to step it up a lil :D .

Each increment in speed takes more power than the previous. To get an idea of how this works, look at a calculator like the one at www.prestage.com The absolute values aren't very accurate, but the relative numbers are. Using 3,500lb and 400, 500, and 600rwhp gives ET's of 11.99, 11.14, and 10.48. The first 100hp dropped the ET by 0.85sec and the next 100hp by 0.66sec. Adding another 100hp nets a 9.96sec time for a 0.52sec improvement. And the cost goes up drastically with each increment. It's not justmaking the power, it's putting it to the ground.

One other thing, 100hp from nitrous will produce a greater gain the 100hp from just about anything else due to the fact that it adds 100hp across the rev range that the nitrous is activated, not just at peak hp.

Rkrause hit that one right ont the head. A 150 shot will defiently put a 12.1 car into the mid 11s with ease, traction not being a factor.
