robvas 02-04-2003, 09:40 AM Anyone have some times using that kit?
What gear are you spraying in?
Any other mods?
How big of a shot are you using
Thanks!
Mikie 02-04-2003, 12:24 PM Im spraying a 150 shot.
Spraying on street tires 5-10 ft off the line.
I keep the 2.73 gears intact so the traction is great off the line.
I have even cut a 1.69 60' on street tires which is damn near a record of some sorts.
Im putting a 2800 stall in this week so slicks will be a must.
The times are below in the sig.

Injuneer 02-05-2003, 07:31 AM One of our club guys with a 99 SS is pulling 10.8@126 with the 5177 kit/125-shot. The engine is stock bottom end, cam, LS6 intake, MAC headers, and a few other things. Stock tuning with 36# injectors!!!! Pulls 1.5x 60-fts with an M6.
Bryan's 99 SS Timeslip (http://cjcfo.fbody.com/member.cgi?id=13)
Indications are he has picked up about 2/10th's with a conversion to a TH400.

Injuneer ,
Im so impressed with the LS1 engine to go10.8s with nothing more that what you listed. We have a guy in our organization that has heads, cam, custom programming,3.42 A-4,LT headers,Catback along with 150 shot running mid 10s at 128 mph.
Thats just plain sick:D
Long live the LS1

Ps...Hell I thought I was fast breaking into the 11s :D
JohnsSS 02-05-2003, 10:35 PM Wet kit is much safer than a dry kit!
TNT:D
Mikie 02-06-2003, 09:43 AM John ,
Both have thier risks , but I dont think the manufacturers had fuel pouring into the intake in mind when they built these cars.
The dry according to my tech II is not leaning out one bit so if the MVs are happy then Im happy.I dont beat on anyone for running wet , (Austin Powers Voice)just not my bag Baby. ;)
Injuneer 02-07-2003, 05:36 PM I personally like running a dry system, and thats a 300-shot. Having a MoTeC computer makes it extremely easy to control the fuel, and to do it reliably. But that's a high $$$ solution, backed up by dozens of dyno pulls.
Mikey:
Bryan's LS1 ran 11.8 @ 116 on motor... I really never saw anyone that could drive an M6 like he can. Maybe he gets it from his uncle (George Baxter.... :) )
Fred
Mikael 02-07-2003, 05:51 PM Most people don't realize that LS1's don't seem to have issues with dry kits. LT1's on the other hand are predominantly wet.

When they ask what kind of a system Bryan has, he tells them "the one that doesn't work"....:D.
