They do make reverse indiglo gauges without that stuff in the middle, but I forgot where I saw them. First off the halo ring in the middle is nice once you see it in person. If the halo wasnt there it looks generic. Second if you get black on white the numbers wont light up just the white park will. I would get silver face but get reverse indiglo. There are great and extremely easy to read at night. Also the ones I have the numbers are blue in the day time not black.
