XTREME Comp Cams 230XL Camshaft, 230/242 duration @ .050", .544"/.576" lift with 1.6 rockers. 114LSA
Looking to purchase my winter project, just wanted a few ideas on a good daily driver setup.
Modifications:
2800 stall
jethot lt's (when they're out)
slp cai
slp dual/dual exhaust & ORY-pipe
100-150 wet shot
walbro fuel pump
3.73 gear
stock heads/intake for now
I know this topic is beaten to death, I'm looking for more opinions than just the cc305 or 306. I've been talking to Seth at CMotorsports and he feels the 230XL will be a good choice.
What's your take on it?
Thanks guys

I like that cam, assuming you are running a stock CR.

Yup.
Ive actually desided to go with a dual stage instead of a single stage now for a better hoot off the line.

That's the cam I went with on my setup, only I got it on a 113lsa. I'm going to a forged 355cid N/A setup w/ the addition of a N2O shot (undecided how big yet). I can't wait to get this thing together. Good luck.

I'm not sure, the motor is still on the stand and I'm slowly getting it together. The block came back from the shop Friday and I'm still waiting for some parts to get here. Anyway..... I also talked to Seth about my setup and he recommended that cam as well. We figured (Seth and I) the 355cid with that cam and my P&P heads which should flow 280I and 200E should get me around 425hp. When I talked to the guy that boared out my block (he also builds race engines for sprint and drag cars) he estimated roughly the same HP output. We'll see I guess.

Central PA Z did you finish your motor? Still using the 230/242? Any comments...
