On LS1 you cna lose extra coil pack bolts, couple extra brackets in the engine bay ect.
Where can I shed a few pounds by removing useless stuff?
Washer fluid gone
plastic peice near spare tire well gone
spare tire and jack
swaybar brackets and swaybar
bracket over drivers side swaybar (never figured out why that was there)
AIR pump and tubes
EGR tube
brackets holding e brake cables to diff cover
couple extra bolts holding rubber shift boot down

The exact same way as an LS1, whatever you don't want or need. Especially lose the silliest accessory to put on an F-Body: the AC system.

On mine I dumped the washer fluid out , but then got to thinking about that empty old reservoir sitting there not bieng used.
I lost 3 lbs by taking out the plastic washer reservoir, pump, lines and bolts. Not much , but every little bit helps.

Jeff you can give me those pesky, heavy Bilstein shocks, and go down the track on just springs:) . That'll lighten you up;)

*There is a piece of heavy rubber under your carpet over the gas tank loose that
*the lil things add up... center console, rear seats, rear seatbelts, etc..
Depends on how far you want to go. I refuse to loose interior panels in my car (made sure they fit with the cage) My car is very light but also has alot of things taken out that are not needed. Since i have a drag car... The air-bag assembly all wiring associated is gone, The wipers gone, the abs gone, the power brakes gone, the power steering gone, lightweight brakes added (huge drop in weight which suprised me) Gun drilled axles ;) , smaller recovery tank. lightweight parts where i can put them...

Here's a list of different parts taken off F-bods and what they weigh. Hope this gives you some ideas.

I have taken the front and rear bumper supports out of a couple of cars and installed light weight carpet. Also removed the entire A/C & heater system (thats a pain kinda). Get a light weight battery.
