Ewan Glendinning 01-29-2003, 01:06 PM Gotta sell my car now. It has a rip in the seat and a lazy window I want the bad points out of the way. I am selling it because I had a baby and there is no way this thing is working out. The body is in perfect shape, it has 140 km on it the tires are all new z rated with about 1-2 thousand km on them. The car is dark green with a grey leather interior. Has a exhaust dumpout and a hooker muffler. Aircared till next year. Has a alarm installed by future shop I think its a Avital brand. Has a Panasonic cd player. This car has all options exceptt-roofs and it is a automatic. Realy need the cash so pass this along if you know anyone looking to buy. Offers!!!

you gotta be joking me.......well mine was in for 9500 and it was in very good shape
krazzycowgirl 01-29-2003, 04:40 PM When I can go out & get a 98 SS Converable for right about $10 Grand you got to be joking if I am going to buy a 93 Trans am Coupe for that much.
sideways_Into_3rd 01-29-2003, 04:53 PM krazyKowgirl .. his prices are CDN .. ur talking USD ...
still 10K is a bit steep ... if u really wanna sell it u might wanna reconsider ... didnt u pay less than that for the car itself ? that car is well known .. all u gotta say that its bunkers old car .. not that theres anything wrong with that .. he fixed all the l ittle problems before selling it
good luck.
Tw!tchb!tch 01-29-2003, 05:56 PM :eek: 98 SS Vert for 10 grand ??? Are you sure its not thrashed ?? I cant see any car depreciating that much that fast even in the us .
bunker 01-29-2003, 06:01 PM 98SS Vertible would be around 14K in good shape USD.
PS. Ewin, I doubt the car is in as good of shape as it was when I gave it to you, plus prices did go down, $10 g's is ok price, but yeah Sideways I sold it to him for less than that & with 120,000 kms.
Ps. It has a brand new starter on there which I fergot to take off before I sold the car.
JD30thZ28 01-29-2003, 07:04 PM I'm willing to up my bid;
$4500 :)
97TA-WS6-Con 01-29-2003, 07:14 PM C' mon guys, give Ewan a break. He has every right to ask what ever the hell he wants.
It is up to the BUYER to determine the value and its not fair to critique Ewan. If the car is over priced he will find out on his own. If you have an opinion that ANYTHING is overpriced then keep it to yourself and let the seller find out. There is nothing to be gained and friendships to be lost by embarrassing someone when you are not even a qualified buyer.
my .02 cents.
JeffK95Z 01-29-2003, 08:40 PM I don't think anyone should have to pay extra because someone feels like cheating them and making a killer profit (or even a good profit)
Not that i'm saying this dude is trying to cheat someone, but I agree with everyone else thats here, if it doesn't seem like a fair deal, tell the world!!
Everyone should be entitled to fair deals, and just because they don't know any better, shouldn't mean they get suckered...
And while most people that don't know any better, do have 'sucker' written across their foreheads, if people weren't looking for these people/suckers to off load they're stuff to, this world would be a better place ;)

...you never know, you may find some deals
NiteRider 01-29-2003, 09:14 PM Yeah, if anything prices for f-bodys have gone up, not down.
Draco 01-29-2003, 09:19 PM Come on guys, its a freaking asking price. No one is gunna come straight out when they sell their car with the actual selling price.
Don't tell me that any of you would come on here when selling your car and list the minimum price you would accept. I have seen plenty of cars put up for sale on this very forum that wouldn't sell for the price that was asked, and I didn't see anyone jumping all over them.
And if you guys haven't inspected the car lately, I hardly think any of you are in a position to determine it's worth. In fact doing so without just cause could have legal ramifications.
Now if someone here had proof of a legitmate deficiency in the car that the seller wasn't being open about, that is a different story. Otherwise give the guy a break and let him worry about selling it.
Tw!tchb!tch 01-29-2003, 09:33 PM :D Right on Sleeper , I just was looking at the same thing in the buy and sell . Id say more like 26 000 ++ for a MINT 98 SS Vert with fair K's from what Ive seen . . . . if they were that cheap I would have kept my mustang and picked one up to play with :eek: when I checked lease price on my 02 ws6 the buyback in three years was almost 27 000 $$
94Zman 01-29-2003, 09:43 PM US Black book '93 Transam;
trade in; $4180us
retail, clean; $7550us
average retail; $5800us
Gold book, current, BC area, for a '95 Z28 ( knock another 30% or so off these figures )
wholesale $9450c
retail $11850c
It really depends on the market demand and your need for $$$, a dealer would unlikely let it go for less than $10K IMO
LuCiFeR97Z28 01-30-2003, 03:11 AM Business is business, and our capitalist economy allows us profit from those that allow it. That being said, it is unethical to cheat someone, or allow someone to be cheated. If Ewan was overpricing his vehicle, objective criticisms are more than welcomed, BUT I have seen and driven in Bunker's old car, and I can vouch for it's cleanliness, condition and overall worth.
In my opinion, $10K CDN is a very fair asking price for that car, UNLESS there are undisclosed factors.
Just my 2 pennies :).
Good luck to the buyer and seller.
bunker 01-30-2003, 03:55 AM right.....
