ME and about 7or 8 f-body owners are going this Saturday to the strip in Jackson, SC from 1-5 p.m. we normally go every saturday so if you want to come just look for us...We all normally drive and this is what we drive:

i have actually heard that Jackson runs FASTER than the others. I will see here in a few hours. i have run at darlington already, and right now i don't think the weather up there is to promising. i know about teh hill at the end, it should help me slow down since i have bad brakes!

If you weren't kidding about your brakes, be aware that Jackson has a SHORT turn-off distance after the traps.

Yeah, Neil, we made it home ok...we stopped off in Savannah and hung there for a little while then headed back to Statesboro...I had a great time at the track with ya'll and I'm glad I got to meet all you guys...we normally go every weekend or every other weekend so next time I go I'll shoot you an e-mail...Take care!!

 

How many of these other tracks have you ran at Raptor? I have ran at all that you mentioned and my times have always been better at carolina dragway!

well it may be the gas I don't know but I do run faster 1/4 at jackson but the 1/8 I like southern dragway in Nicholl's but it's hard to beat Macon National it's concrete all the way.

 

actually, i ran 3 N2O passes. all of them were in the 11's.

the first was like this:

something wierd must have happened for my mph to drop at the 1/4 after it was up at the 1/8. i think i must have done something wrong, maybe a slow shift to 4th or something. because of this, i know the car is capable of more.

 

glad you all got home okay. you all did a lot of driving that day. we also had a good time and hopefully we can do it again sometime.

 

Yeah, we definitely need to go back once I've got a new clutch. I think I could get 12.5s out of this thing there, maybe more. Went 12.9s on a slipping clutch (off 6 MPH at the big end). Track hooks like crazy.

 

Neil, are all you guys going to Jackson this Saturday?? Also I was wondering if you guys were going to Savannah tonight? I'm pretty sure we are going both days...just wondering if you were going or not??
