COMNBYU 01-23-2003, 11:09 AM mine would be a 84 buick le sabre (aka-the ARK) that ripped off a blistering best of 17.67 @ 75 w/ an outstanding 2.29 60. and that was with the orig. plugs/wires, black air filter, and the last oil change being about 8k miles ago.
this beast is equipped with the massive 307ci buick brute with a 700R4 to back up those 190 horses. the one-wheel-wonder has the equivalent of a 2.23 rear gear ratio to help it leave off the line like a scalded rabbit.
since that pass, the oil has been changed, filter replaced, and muffler fell off on the interstate. with the improvments in the air flow, and the opened up exhaust i think shes got low 17s in her.
so how fast is YOUR beater??

krazzycowgirl 01-23-2003, 06:56 PM 2000 Grand Prix Daytona Pace car ET ratings on them are Mid to Low 15s with min mods.
cndctrdj 01-23-2003, 08:11 PM mine is a 88 nissan pickup
170hp + 4400lbs + 5.13 gears = one hell of a 4x4 truck not much of a street car.
94FBIRD 01-24-2003, 07:23 AM I daily-drive a 91 GMC Syclone all year long. Stock it ran a 13.7 at 5,830 ft. above sea-level at 15 psi. This year brings an upgraded turbo, ported heads, 1.6 rockers and 20psi. Should easily be in the 12s with my all-seasons Yokahomas at this high altitude.:)
Sax1031 01-24-2003, 10:39 AM I have an 87 BMW 325e. Not really a winter beater since the winters in South Carolina are not that bad, although we did get 4 inches of snow at my house yesterday. I just drive the BMW to keep the stang nice and clean, and keep unwanted miles off of it. Although I can easily and have drove the stang for about 400 miles in a week.
Well back to the BMW. It ran a 9.95 in the eigth @73mph. That was a G-tech Pro/Competition meter run. Also I need some spark plugs badily for that car.
djlup 01-24-2003, 05:09 PM Winter better? Hmm, Never really thought about that here in So-Ca. I drive my car year round.
