Stock seat cloth for 93 Z-28

I was having my seats re-upholstered, when the interior guy called me and said that he can't get the stock material anywhere, that they don't make it anymore. He ended up cleaning the current material and putting it back on. I haven't seen it yet, but just in case, is there a place online where I can buy it?

Thanks,

Where would be some places to get aftermarket? Will the pattern/color be the same?

My stepdad told me the same thing a couple years ago. That woven material is discontinued. I'm not sure of any aftermarket suppliers that make it. I've gone through several of his sample books and haven't seen it.

Well, that does suck. I like the cloth seats in my 95 but they are starting to show some wear/age...

Replace it with leather Katzkin leather will be my next upholstery mod. May do it on new seats just to save my interior. Gotta love the red/black combo

Don't know of a company that has the stock cloth. I'd upgrade to leather.

I know Justin's not exactly worried about keeping it all original, but if someone were to decide to restore a 4th gen to original spec, and it came with cloth, this wouldn't really be an option. I would like to see that material reproduced. I think it looks neat, even if it doesn't hold up well to rubbing. (re. driver's side bolster.)

Somebody with a '93 somewhere probably knows the answer to who produced the cloth. They didn't offer leather in '93. I thought I used to know who produced the pace car interior cloth, but I can't remember where I read the name...

I doubt it makes any difference whether it's a '93 or a '94 or a '95. The material and pattern was the same for all those years (barring the pace car.) If you've got a '93 and your seats are ripped, you're probably relegated to leather replacement covers or a cloth of a different sort.

You could go to a fabric store and look around for something to your taste... The ones around here also have fabric for headliners...

I was just implying that someone with a '93 is most likely to know. Particularly a pace car owner since they are interested in original cars.

I used this kit to reupholster my camaro. I'm really happy with it and you can't beat it for the money. I've got a before and after pic at home, I'll try to find it when I get off of work.

What kit? I'm not really interested in going to leather...I actually was hoping to keep the stock pattern. The seats were cleaned and new padding installed, I'm going to go look at them this week, they may be ok.
