Best Car "Test"

Just took a "test" with the following questions:

1. Who do you think builds the most fuel efficent car?
2. Who do you think builds the safest car?
3. Who do you think builds the most dependable car?
4. Who do you think builds the best performance car?
5. Who do you think builds the best car?

And the answers:

1. Toyota
2. Volvo
3. Honda
4. BMW
5. BMW

If you want to take the "test":

At the end it says
On September 13th, one car company is putting it all on the table. The cars will speak for themselves. And the facts just might change some opinions
Looks like more GM marketing

3. Chevrolet (Of the 6 I currently own only one has ever given me problems)
4. Chevrolet (ZR1, nuff said)
5. Chevrolet (Best imo = performance, reliability, VALUE, quality, styling,)

They're such vague categories though ... does "most fuel efficient" mean one stripper model econobox made to eke out great numbers, while the rest of the brand's cars are hogs? Does "performance" mean straight line, road course, overall? You can see how these questions would mean different things to different people, so I'm interested to see how GM defines the questions in order to make their models the winners.

It's obviously a GM marketing site, "May The Best Car Win" is the tagline they use in the commercial. I'm just surprised they got permission to use all of the brands' logos on the site.

Those answers were votes.

my votes:

1.) Volkswagen= their TDI diesel has gotten up to 80mpg!
2.) Mercedes= the safest and expensive.
3.) Honda= probably the most dependable..boring appliance.
4.) Ferrari= hands down! best performance car..priced accordingly.
5.) Mercedes = best built car.. meticulous assembly, well engineered.

6.) Corvette ZR1= MOST DESIRED CAR !!!!!!

how the hell can you possibly quantify some of those.
The first few have testable characteristics and the further down the list you go the more it's just someone's opinion.

1. Who do you think builds the most fuel efficent car?

-Single Car-Toyota. Multiple Cars-GM

2. Who do you think builds the safest car?

-Thats a tough one. Although Volvo builds a safe car, if I were going for nothing but safety I'd probably buy something bigger.

3. Who do you think builds the most dependable car?

- Luxury brands build the most dependable cars. A Cadillac will have less problems than a Toyota. A Porsche will have less problems than a Honda. I think overall, Lexus generally has less problems than everyone else.

4. Who do you think builds the best performance car?

- I've always thought you cant mess with GM in this respect. Corvette all the way.

5. Who do you think builds the best car?

-Way too vague. What defines "Best"? You talk to some guys and they think they're Camry is the best thing since sliced bread. If I drove that thing, I'd fall asleep from boredom.

Ok now I'm gonna go take this survey and see what kinda BS it tells me.
