new member with questions re trans. fluid

I'm Johnnie, and I live in N California. I have an 85 camaro z28 and recently lost most of my transmission fluid due to a loose hose. Help! what kind of transmission fluid should I buy? thanks

Dexron II IIRC was the original ATF specd, but Dexron III is backward compatible. You can also go with something like Castrol Multi Domestic; it is Dexron II & III compatible (will say so on label in back). Welcome to the board and check out the 3rd gen section if you haven't already.
