Take a digital picture. The picture must have the following elements in it to qualify...
- The printed PDF of the CamaroZ28.Com logo mentioned in step 1 above
- A Camaro. Must be a real drivable Camaro, not a toy or another picture of a Camaro. Camaro does NOT have to be owned by the person submitting the photo!

ENTRY GUIDELINES

Entries will be judged on image quality, creativity, etc.
One entry per member, one member account per person.
Printed PDF file displayed in the submitted digital photo must be fully legible, printed in full size (8.5 x 11 inches) or larger, and logo may not be altered in any way. Laptop screen can be used but is not preferred over printed image.
Image must meet the required elements to qualify or will not be counted.
Image must be genuine. Basic enhancements in lighting/contrast/clarity may be allowed but no altering of image elements. In other words, no using Photoshop or another photo editing program to create an image of an event that did not exist. Images will be checked for authenticity.
No image displaying anything blatantly illegal, immoral, or obscene will be allowed. Standard CamaroZ28.Com guidelines apply.


BONUS TIPS!
If you have a great image that you want to submit but want to help increase your chances of of being considered for the top 10, Here's the tips!

First, the more creative the image, the better your chances of getting picked! Use your imagination. Make it unique, funny, awesome, strange, whatever. Just make it memorable.
Printing the PDF file in color is a bonus.
Cars and girls go together well. Putting a pretty one in the image can't hurt (but is NOT a requirement, and the focus will be on the require elements above.). Must be PG-13 rated or better. R-rated images can be sent privately to webmasters@camaroz28.com, but out of fairness this will not increase your odds of winning.
And for the best way to increase your consideration of being a top 10 pick...when posting your entry in the "official thread", also include verifiable links to other places the image has been posted. Flickr, Photobucket, other forums (respectably), etc.


OFFICIAL RULES

Entries will be accepted from August 3rd until OCTOBER 15, 2009.
Public voting will take place once we have declared that no more entries will be submitted. There will be a two week window for the public to vote.
Winners will be officially declared on the CamaroZ28.Com Podcast.
Shipping costs may be incurred to the prize winner, depending on prize won and location of winner.
Due to the fluid nature of online interaction, judgment calls may be required. Any and all decisions will be made by CamaroZ28.Com admins and will be final.
Grand Prize winner has choice of (4) Nitto Tires from the Street or Competition product line. Combinations can be made. For example, winner may pick (2) Nitto NT555R Drag Radials and (2) Nitto NT555 street tires. Truck tires are excluded as prizes from this contest.

The way I read it, a printout of the PDF has to be in the photograph. I think the idea is that it proves that the photograph was taken specifically for the purpose of participating in this contest. :)

No worries, that is just a suggestion. Definitely not a requirement and the focus for judging will be on the required elements and not that.

Sweet! The logo just printed - from my Vista laptop to an XP desktop over the wireless network!! 1st try, too. Now to get insurance, inspection, tags/plates and a hot chick for the shoot . . .

Well as stated in the rules the members vote on the pics. So if we don't want someone winning just because it has the best girl they don't win. Doesn't mean we still can't enjoy it :)

As of Aug 10 no pics have been posted yet so I'm betting there are going to be a lot of sneaky pete posting on the last day so nobody can improve on a concept. I'll probably do the same.

I cannot believe that at the basic level, no one else has access to a printer and a cell phone with a camera and cannot find a Camaro somewhere. :rolleyes:

Just a side note: Now that I have seen both the photo you submitted and all of the other photos here is my opinion. First off, no matter what the girl gets a 10+:bow:, but the I would have submitted a different photo for the contest because of the positioning of the car. I like some of your other pictures better.

Regardless, all of the photos are awesome, and again the girl is amazing (she single ;) ). Plus seeing that you are the only one with a submitted photo, it really doesn't matter which one you picked. I'm sure there will be a few more over the weekend being submitted.

We went through them all and thought it had the least amount of "margin clutter" while showing Krissy in a flattering way. You're right, she's a very pretty young lady. I'm not a pro photographer (by any stretch) and we used a tiny compact Cannon point-and-click.

Hope this works (though I probably can't really compete with the legendary MUDBONE and MUDBONE, JR's hottie friend). The story behind this shot is. . . I've been working in New Orleans since March, tracking my Camaro order in Los Angeles for a while. It's finally there and waiting for me, but since I won't be home to get it before the contest ends, I've been carrying around the Camaro Z28 pdf since the contest was announced. And FINALLY, after a night of imbibing, as I was stumbling home from the world famous Bourbon Street, I literally almost fell over this sweet orange Camaro, handed my buddy the camera and snapped this one shot.

Now we're talking! Great back story. I think Krissy's hotness status a safe, though. :)

I know, I know..."where's the Camaro". Well, the white '78 Formula actually has a Chevy 350 in it. What do you call an F-body with a Chevy engine? :) Besides, I need some help getting her out of those high school wheels. Some brand new Nitto's would really help me along the way. If nothing else, it gets another entry on the board. Both of these cars are mine...as are the daily drivers in the back ground.

I can't take a pic of mine yet because it's not back from the paint shop. It's frustrating beyond belief the way the situation is I haven't actually been able to drive it since June 18 and now the body shop has had it since July 7.

Yes, you can change your picture until we close the contest for new entries, which we are getting close to doing.

Thanks for being cool about changing an entry, Jason - this one was a lot more work to get (multiple flash pops from 3 different directions during a thirty second exposure with my friend hidden in car turning the headlights on for a sec or so then leaving the markers on a few more seconds). That and while I love pretty girls, I love my car more. :D

I snapped this picture in the rain today when I was pumping gas... for the first time in about 3 years I'm running tires that have enough tread to leave treadmarks rather than 'flatlines'!!!

Hopefully I'll come up with something better before the contest ends...

The car in front is ours, the 2nd one back is the car that John Fitzpatrick & Cheryl Pilcher drove to the event, and the 3rd car is Thor (Scott Settlemire/Fbodfather's Captive Test Fleet car). They just happened to be all parked together and visible from our hotel room!

I don't know that it's about photographic technique as much as it might be about creativity and impromptu photo opportunities. Or as Jason said, maybe it's just what catches the eye and is remembered by those who vote.

That is correct, which is another reason we are allowing people to change their entry before the October 15 deadline. If you have submitted a pic in this thread, please go to the first post in it and read the rules to make sure your image qualifies!

Anyone can find a take a picture of a Camaro (or just find a random one on the 'net) and and Photoshop our logo into it. However, the contest is to get people to experience a Camaro in person, even if it just means standing next to one.

I have a '97 SS, and to be honest when the cars were *new* (meaning showroom new, not 'in my garage 5 years later new') I *hated* that hood scoop!!!

I grew to love it though and I like it more than the '98+ scoop, even though that one is cool too.

But anyway I've seen it on a few 3rd gens too, there's a black/black one just like yours above at the local cruise that looks really sweet with that style of ram air hood too.

There are very few options for good looking 3rd Gen hoods, and the straight lines of the earlier SS style scoop work a lot better than the LS1 style would.
