I wouldn't recommend it but that's just me, i don't like mixing stuff. Do you just need to top off?

I would rather fill it up with 3qts of water than adding a different antifreeze.

I wouldn't recommend it either, before I got my car someone had mixed the two and it built up a dirty mud like stuff, sludge... you'll see when you pull out your coolant stick

Well they probably wouldn't market it if it would cause problems given liability and lawsuit issues. I'm sure it would be fine.

I just did a cam install and added this Prestone stuff since it is readily available and not terribly expensive.

Yeah, i'm not particularly fond of Dex-Cool myself. I replaced a intake gasket on a 2000 Malibu (3.1V6) that was fubar'd by Dex-Cool (actually a lawsuit on that one too). Turned it into orange jello, had a hell of a time flushing all that crap out. Almost put in just plain old Ethelyne Glycol into the Camaro, but figured I'd give this Prestone **** a try.

I think the problems with Dex-Cool are that if any oil at ALL gets into it, it turns into a mess... Just a slight weep and you have this gelling problem or whatever happens to it.
