Is there really such a thing? i just purchased 2 315/35/17 nitto dr's for my car so im looking to upgrade to wider rims on the rear from the 17x9s. Here is a link , , , http://cgi.ebay.ca/17-x-11-Corvette-ZR1-wheels-rims-tires-deep-dish-C5-Z06_W0QQitemZ380143355078QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors _Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item58824f44c6&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 ,,,
So are all 17x11 rims dished like that or no? Is yours?
Injuneer 08-01-2009, 10:05 PM Try a "search". There have been posts on this forum about the deep-dish ZR1's, and I believe there have been photos posted as well.
The "standard" ZR1 wheels do not look like the ones in your link.

z28_4life 10-01-2009, 10:50 PM What's the reputation like on that company. I was looking at their stuff and the company is not too far from me but everyone on here seems to purchase the AFS zr1's, which are much more pricey.

I bought some wheels from them (OE Wheels LLC) and I could not be happier.
Bullet95z28 10-02-2009, 09:04 PM Same here, i bought the oe wheels and they are great quality, and even better price.

z28_4life 10-07-2009, 05:07 PM Do you think they would let you pick the wheels up right at the factory? I'm literally an hour away.
If there is a telephone number, I would call and find out. Good luck!

Any modifications to the wheel well required? BFH? Bumpstop grinding? Fender rolling? Spacers? Long shank lugs?

I bought the car with the wheels on it. However, I think the bumpstop was grinded some. The fenders aren't rolled (though I did put a small gash on one of my rear tires from the car bottoming out hard (I'd assume a speed bump) and the fender hitting the tire. I'll probably roll them in the future. No spacers/SLP Chrome ZR1 lugs and SLP Chrome ZR1 Camaro SS center caps.
ss#1230 10-10-2009, 04:42 PM ive got sportline springs front a rear.
i ground the bumpstops, beat in the lower front of the wheel well, , used a 5mm spacer and longer lugs on the PS side, and i did roll the fender lip.
i wanted to make sure i had plenty of room when the rims arrived, so i did all of the clearance mods right after i placed the order.

i dont think that youve got stock rear springs. the rear is way too low....

The rear spring insulators are removed, AKA "The Hose Mod" which is good for ~0.25" drop. Stock SS Stage 2 Bilstein Springs.
silverz28 10-16-2009, 11:10 PM I got my deep dish ZR1's from Discount Tire. I didn't know the rims were going to be that way when I ordered them, but I am happy with them now. I have lowering springs and they fit fine. On big bumps or when I punch it, the outer fender catches just a bit on the tire but not much.

i have the stage II bilstein package as well, and my car has never had the insulators.
ive lowered the car with the eibach sportline springs and your car looks lower than mine....
Camaro350z28 10-17-2009, 01:55 AM hey ss#1230.. what size are those tires on the rear? 315 35 or somethin?
ss#1230 10-17-2009, 04:38 PM yeah, they are 315/35 mickey thompson ET street radials. they are fairly narrow for 315s. i wish they made a 325s
they are good tires, but im still getting wheel spin and i will burn em up if im too aggressive off the line (at the strip, with a line lock burn out). i just need something with some sidewall to get respectable 60' times...
