Is the speaker wire length important?

Does the length of speaker wire matter or make any difference, if so would you want it to be longer or shorter?

You don’t want an excessive amount of wire because it will increase your chance of interference. Just use what you need.

Speaker wire doesn't pick up noise like an RCA cable can.

The length isn't as important as the size of the wire.

Well, look at it this way.... every wire has a resistance per foot, that means every foot you add in length will add X ammount of Ohms. Typically in speaker wire it's very small but can add up, especially with High power systems, and too small wire.

If you have large enough wire for your speakers the length doesn't really matter that much.
