Has anyone purchased a high output alternator from 'csking' on eBay? If so, would you recommend it?

I've got one on my car, a 200 amp unit. I've had it going on a year and a half now, and it works great. I've only had it hooked up to my "temp" system, and it's worked fine on keeping everything charged. We'll find out in a couple weeks when I get my box finished on how powerful it really is... http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif 1600 Wrms High Current Ampifier to 2 Kicker s12l7s.

At first I thought,…”He has a Z06 AND a C5, why not try a Cobra?” Who needs a C5 AND Z06 anyway?

I bought one for my V6. It died after 6 months but he replaced it free of charge.

I didn't really notice a difference in its current capabilities. It actually seamed to have a little (emphasis on the little) less output then factory when running at idle but more @ higher RPM's.

They really aren’t "High output" alternators, he just calls them that.

I wouldn't use one as an upgrade...A replacement maybe, but not an upgrade.

LT1 alternators are sufficient for most systems anyway.
