What rpm should I set my mallory to turn on and off the nitrous. I was thinking 3000 to 6000 with 5 degress retartd on a 125 shot.

That is not good. 2 negatives DO NOT make a positive. Seriously, you should just baby it off the line and maybe start out with the nitrous coming on at 4k. Depending on your shift points, even with the on point at 4k I would think the nitrous would still be there after the shift. How much do the rpms drop after a shift? You just need to experiment and really take it easy on that 10 bolt. Do you at least have a TA cover on it?

Yes I have a TA cover. I was not planning on using the nitrous until second gear. For traction and the 10 bolt

Smart move. You'll figure it out then. Good luck.

I shift at 6500rpm off the bottle but I think thats to high for nitrous. At what rpm should I shut the nitrous off.

I would try a couple of hundred rpm before your shift point. I use the 685 box but was reading somewhere, a person had the nitrous off point tied into his shift light.

I'm running the 685 too. Its a really nice peice. I'll find out what rpm I'm at after shifting and set my nitrous to come on at that rpm. Then set the nitrous to turn off at 6100-6200rpm.
thanks

I would turn it on @ 3500rpms shut off at 6300rpms. Hit it in 2nd gear, once you do the 4.10 gear your really asking for it though. The 3.42 will be much stronger.

As Z-Rated said you want to play around with things. I would start at a 75 shot and than 100, 125, etc. See how the car reacts to the juice.

I have heard that the 3.42 is a much stronger gear then the 4.10 Maybe I should not get the 4.10.

correct, the 4.10 you will have more teeth on the same size ring, i.e. they are smaller. a 3.42 will have slightly bigger teeth, making them stronger

I tried the 75 shot last night and it was fun. It still broke the tires loose in second. I can't wait to try 125 now. I loved how the motor sounded before the nitrous and now it sounds even better when the shot comes on. The rpms climb so fast when it turns on.

A friend of nime was running low 11's at 121 mph for a few years on his 6 speed LS1 car. He would spray the stock ten bolt out of the hole with a WOT switch but the key there is to leave easy and everytime your wide open it is spraying. He was running nitto's and even had MT dr's for a while. He finally broke it trying to beat my car when it was a cam only on spray, one night.

The point of the story is it is the clutch dropping that kills the ten bolt. His mph shoed the power his 60's were slow but it was driven to the track and home for about 4-5 years.

I used the 100 shot tonight and I had zero traction in second gear at 3500rpm. I need to setup the torque arm because you guys are leaving in first on more bottle them I'm using and I can't hook in second. When I shifted into third it was all traction and it pulled hard.
I have adjustable lca ,panhard bar , and a torque arm so I should be able to get it to hook with some tweaking. If you know any good posts on suspension setup feel free to let me know.
