WTB: Stereo Upgrade. 95 Conv. Z

Got a 95 Z convert. The system face says bose cd player, 4 speakers, Will a monsoon just plug in, can I use monsoon speakers, amps, etc. Because convert. I want to put in a system that someone does not want to break in for. Thought I could buy a total monsoons system here... Anyone...anyone..

get a deck that they wont notice, ie a m670 by sony.... black panel, cant even see it during the nite, and during the day it looks like faceplate has been detached.... sub in the trunk cant be seen either....

I had the same idea, except I couldnt find a head unit I liked, mainly because how it fit with those cheesy adapter plates, i think it looked like an eye sore. So I wanted to stay stock. Monsoon systems use 2ohm speakers, not really worth it. The Delco Bose we have though has the amps attached to each speaker, so going to an external amp wouldnt be very hard with a PAC-OEM1 or something. The only thing I wonder is, the coupes had the sub additionally, how does that get wired in, and, could we use that as a pre-filtered sub channel? I dont know. I just wanted to keep a stock HU for appearance as well.

Im not sure that the convert. z's have the amplified speakers. Are you sure the converts. have the same system????

I also want a stock head unit to avoid the top getting cut for a dam $300 stereo.

If we bought a monsoon could we install the head unit amps and all???

Theoretically... also you could install a factory monsoon CD changer, and instead of the stock monsoon amp/speakers, you could use your own and have a lot better results with the factory HU.
