finally just got a 1998 ls1.. 115k on the clock.. and i had the rear rebuilt got 3.73s put in it..
cant wait to see what she will do at the track mods in sig what do you guys think it will do ?

13.30s-13.40s with decent tires. The summertime isn't a great time to try to get good track numbers.
High 13s/14.0s if you spin.

Put a stock MAF back in. Take it to Cecil in a month or two and you may see very low 13s.

everyone is telling me to put the stock unit back in which i dont have :mad:.. whats so bad about the slp?

The SLP MAF slows your car down and causes drivability problems.

I also concur with putting a stock MAF back in. When I bought my car it had some kind of non-stock ported/descreened maf and I would get lean codes when it was cold out (I guess due to the fact that the PCM was untuned and all the extra volume that was ported out of the MAF was allowing unmetered air in).
I got a stock on off gmpartsdirect.com. Kinda annoying to have to buy it but no more lean codes. I think all an aftermarket MAF does is trick the stock program into running lean which gives you a bit more power but thats a redneck way to make power. The right way would be to tune the PCM to run a bit leaner with more advance so you have full control over the process.
