This site helps clear up what is on which body, and it does appear that the W-body is dead and the W-bodies and G-bodies (not the 80's RWD ones) are moving to the mid-lux platform

Now the W and G body numbers do not surpise me...however the Mid-lux is very very odd...especially since 04 Monte Carlo and Impala numbers are nowhere near full production run numbers? Could they be building the SS models and Bonneville GXP here and calling it a different platform?
