i say we get some sort of offical arrangement for a meeting next year.
a fun thing we could do as i was thinking over what FbodFather said about usernames, was to wear a shirt with everyone's username that should be there, and then check it off as I met them. lol. plus it'll help if they see their name and i don't recognize them.
that lemonade was pretty, uh, sweet. lol..

Were you, by chance, staying at the Quality Inn in Carlisle. Black stripes on your 'vert?
SweetZRag 06-29-2009, 08:08 AM No. I drove in that morning. I live about 2hr 15min away. I was parked in section 39 because I didn't preregister. I have no stripes with black vert top. It was nice to finally see all the new colors and the ground effects option.

Glad you made it and saw the Camaros we brought for folks to drive.
Reason I was asking about the stripe was because a gent had a very nice 94 'vert at the hotel I was staying in.

I stayed at the Quality Inn also (nothing to brag about there), did you see my red 2010 Camaro in the parking lot?
I'm sure you must have seen our Impala club in the parking lot everynight till 2:00 in the morning.
Man we had a fantastic time all weekend.
Thanks to Cheryl, John and Scott for taking the time to stop by and sign my car. What nice folks they are. Scott even hugged my wife when she said how much we loved the car!
I can't believe it's all over already.
mudbone 06-29-2009, 11:50 AM Glad you made it and saw the Camaros we brought for folks to drive.
Sorry I missed seeing you, Dog! It really was great to see all the various colors and configuration options. I have been struggling to decide what color to order, and I am used to being able to scout that at a dealer. Obviously, that is not possible until more cars get into the pipeline.
I'm finding that silver is "speaking to me", but Cyber Grey is a very cool color. Hum, maybe Silver with Cyber Grey stripes:) There was a Cortez Silver '69 Z28 with black stripes in the Bow Tie class that was super, super nice. I think that car might have been my favorite.

I did see your car! Nice.
I was in a room directly facing the lot with the Impala SS cars proudly displayed. I particularly liked the led Bowties some were sporting on the grille.
Such touches usually don't appeal to me, but these were just right, IMO.
You must have been in the group that took up residence in the Sunoco station parking lot for adult beverages and bench racing sessions. You folks definately represented what I like about the Chevy enthusiast community.
I did give a thought to joining in the parking lot festivities, but, it didn't appear you folks needed any help in having a good time.
I did have a chance to meet some of the Impala crew friday evening. I figured if I let those folks know what we had for the Ride and Drive would be spread to the rest of the crew.
Carlisle is always fun. I have had great times there in support of Corvette, and even greater times at the GM Nationals events.
Let's meet up next year, for sure!
79Zee28 06-29-2009, 01:12 PM I spent Saturday afternoon at Carlisle. Great event as always. It was really nice to see the new 5th gens in person. I also wanted to get look at the colors in person. I like the yellow as it is a forgiving color. However, the Orange and Dark Blue are really nice. The metallic in the sun brings out the best in those color. I also like the ground effects. Especially, when they are painted. I also participated in the test drive. That was a lot of fun! The view out the windows is not as bad as I have read. I drove a V6 and the power was not a dissapointment. I would still order a V8. I would just like to see Chevy redo the stripe packages. I saw a lot of inconsistancy from car to car. Esp, the hockey stripes. If the front facia and fender do not line up prefect, that split on the stripe looks pretty bad. Loved the show and the CAR! Sell a ton....I be there next year with my '79 and hoepfully a 2011!

I think I saw that one at the fairgrounds. It was nice to finally see an abundance of the new model. I didn't drive one because the line was too long. I have been eyeing the black one but I have to admit that I like the Blue metallic with some white racing stripes!
So many colors and so few dollars! What's a Camaro fan to do....

I was wondering why our silver Camaros were chanting "Mudbone, Mudbone, Mudbone".
I we can meet up in the future.
