I found this board a few months ago while I was still looking for a new job. I was laid off in December...just when I was trying to make the decision to place an early order or to wait until there were cars on the lots. Well, I took the fact that I got a new job in April as a good omen and ordered my black 1SS RS the first of May. My salesman emailed me today that it will be going into production the week of June 29th. Now I can get excited!
This will be my 3rd Camaro. Had a '76 in high school and currently own a '98 Z28. One downside to my purchase will be that I'll be trading in my current car. It has almost 115,000 miles on it and has never let me down :( How do we get so attached to our cars, anyway?? :D
BTW, I live in the Chicago area and ordered my Camaro from a dealer in Winamac, IN where I grew up. I just wanted to say hello to everyone and thank you for all the valuable information I've found here!
