I might be royally late on this one but...
I noticed the the blue ambient lighting on the doors does not come across the whole dash on my new RS/SS. At first I though thats how it was supposed to be but just today I saw an online pic with the light going clear across the dash from door to door.
Does yours go across the dash?

No, they scrapped it going all the way across due to some problems they were having.

I'm sure someone in the aftermarket will sell something to finish the job. :)
Here is a video I did of the Ambient lighting in my Camaro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gs1QR4f32C8

I think it is gonna take a professional videogropher to get good video of the lighting. I just need to see it in person I guess.

probably too much of a distraction on a dark night in front part. . mine looks amazing on my Inferno interior at night on doors though....

Personally I wouldn't want it on the dash trim, it would be overkill. Looks very, very cool and it matches the halos on the gauges

The reason I've seen most stated was that there was too much glare from the dash lighting.
Maybe a more subdued version would've worked...

One thing I wish they would have done differently, is to make the door lighting independent of the dash lights. To have the door lighting at max the gauge lights are TOO bright. They should adjust independently of each other.

Or dim when the car is in gear and then come back on when in park or with the p-brake on.
