I decided to change out the bulbs behind the HVAC because they were out. Everything was fine for about 2 weeks. They go out again so I figure maybe the plug came loose, well low and behold the IP Dimmer fuse was blown. I changed out the fuse and as soon as I plug in the pigtail with the 2 bulbs for the HVAC (yellow and grey wires) the fuse blows immediately. The ground under the console looks good and isnt pinched and I have totally disconnected everything to do with the radio and changed the dimmer switch. What cud be overloading the circuit? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Are you possitive you put the right amperage lights in the panel. If they were higher amp. they may have burnt the dimmer coil which could cause a short. Putting the dimmer on full high kind of bypasses the coil, so try that first. In any case your probably going to have to pull the dimmer and check it.
