1.) Ford F-Series: 33,381
2.) Chevy Silverado: 31,463
3.) Toyota Camry: 31,325
4.) Toyota Corolla: 23,576
5.) Honda Accord: 22,597

7.) Ford Fusion: 19,786
8.) Chevy Impala: 18,709
9.) Nissan Altima: 18,408
10.) Ford Escape: 16,391
I can't comprehend how the Camry out sells the Accord by that much. It is like Camry buyers don't test drive anything else.

Brand loyalty and good word of mouth advertising would be my guess? Not related, but as an example on another board I'm arguing with a poster about the actual reason for Chryslers demise, he is utterly convinced that its quality related and has nothing to do with Diamlers irresponsible and down right criminal management of the company. Thats the sort of thinking Toyota has going for it and as long as they don't royally screw the pooch (like Ford did with the Taurus) then its gnna take a good while to break thier hold o nthe catagory down.
I don't think they do. For example, one guy i work with had an EVO when he started at my place maybe 5 years ago. Sold it and bought a C6 when they came out. Got married and his wife got pregnant, traded in the vette on a gray camry, did not test drive anything else, i don't even think he test drove the camry. It is basically the default appliance car. A couple other toyota drivers, it's all they ever drove.
Unfortunately, that is impossible. The Hermosillo plant is limited to a maximum capacity of 305K units per year, with 3 shifts. That is for the Fusion/Milan/MKZ.
GM and Ford both gained market share in May while Honda and Toyota lost market share.
