For all who's put in your order recently, I'm just curious if the dealer told you when your Camaro would be ready for pick up. I've heard that if you put in an order right now, you wouldn't get it until December. Is this true?

I'm highly doubting that I'll walk on a lot and see my exact order specs sitting there for purchase. A 2SS/RS IO with IO interior isn't all that rare I guess, but I just don't see it happening.

 

my dealer said around 3 months if i were to order now. and they did have the car u want as a display at the dealer but when i went in there the other day it was gone. i asked whered it go? they said it was a floor car. he said it was sent back to Detroit to get "shredded," i couldnt believe it. he said it didnt have the safety standards and wasnt a sticker car and had to be destroyed. i was really sad cuz that was a beautiful vehicle. ooooh well atleast i got to sit in it twice

 

When I ordered on 5-7-09, my dealer said July/August. But so far, I see only one VIN going to my dealer. So, lets just say, im not expecting it any time soon.

 

3 to 4 months....

 

When I placed my order on 5/12 my dealer said August. As of 5/26 I am at 2500. I'll keep my figers crossed but won't hold my breath.

 

At least you know what level you are at. I placed my order 5/8 and still have no idea what event code I am at.

im not sure, they made it clear the car wasnt for sale and couldnt be sold.

 

When I ordered in February they said late June to mid July. I ordered from Classic Chevy in Grapevine, TX.

 

ordered back in feb. my cars due to show up any day now!

 

I ordered Oct. 23 and the car is on the train, but haven't been able to track it outside of business hours eastern time. Dealer says the Business Center told him 2 days till it gets to the rail yard, then it will be trucked. When I ordered I think there were less than 3000 ordered, mine is 11880. I was hoping for April. Its not exactly down to an art figuring out when they will arrive.

 

I ordered October 30, 2008 and mine is in transit (6-1-2009). I had the VIN# for about 2 weeks and was at code 3800. When you get to this point, things begin to speed up. Should take delievery next week!!!

Yes that's it, Dealer sent me the invoice the day it became available, that was a few days before it was posted on GM's VIN lookup. I noticed that they didn't put the stripes on that I had ordered, now I am waiting for the car to decide on stripes or not. Because of the Exp. I/T 5/31/09 we were expecting it already, but as of yesterday it was still on the train.

 

This is the info on your vehicle. If the strips are added, they will be put on at the dealer. They are not doing that at the factory. I'm going to see how it looks without strips and maybe get them later. Sounds like your dealer is being up front with you and thats also a good thing. There rolling them out about 400 a day. Yours is built and looks like it may be delievered in a couple os weeks. Your VIN # hit the Database on 6-3-2009. So it will not be long now!!!
