i agree with the above post the camaro will sound better but the new si civics are tuned so well it would probably win. But i think it would be a good match. I have raced one or 2 si civics in my day and i seeme to beat almost all older ones but any new ones is a rough race ussually u come out in back

i doubt that you would beat an older one unless he couldnt drive. Simple power to weight ratio, 2000 civic weighs 2600, camaro weighs 3250 plus your subs(read other posts:D ) both cars making 160hp, that little 4cyl makes its power up high but the civic should almost always beat a 3.4, no replacement for displacement except less weight:thumb: . back to the original question, yes the 07 will win, similar situation the si just weighs less. BTW dont look at my name, im not saying this because i like hondas, i ride a cbr :thumb:

He was talking to the guy who said he beat an older one in his 3.4.

yea at the moment, imo the h22 or even a b18c is the best motor they built. also dirtbike7992, did u do the porting or u get a machine shop to do it?

I'm gonna say the Camaro for $hits and giggles. 200 horses for the V6 ain't bad, right?

Tha camaro got that one. I hope.

The 07 civic has more power and better setup all around than the 10 year older Camaro. Im done talking about a Camaro gettin whooped now. So lets see. The si is top of the lone honda. How bout a 97 z28 with the ls1 goodbye any stock honda

Sorry guys, the Si would win.

3.8 = 200 hp - 3,200
K20 = 197 hp - 2,866 lbs

Add to that 10+ years of wear plus the Civic's top end.

B16, different story, nod to the 3.8L.

OK, your mods make a slight difference (iridium plugs are NOT a mod). You mention full 3" exhaust...headers included?

Unless you are a crap driver, you should keep it close.

Why did you start the poll asking stock vs. stock, when you aren't?

the mods you have done should be 15 flywheel hp. If you have headers i would say 25-30. you may have a race if you can 60ft your car and the other driver cant. Otherwise once the SI is in vtec powerband your going to have a hard time catching him. If you get out ahead first you may have it.

Exhaust, headers and cold air equals 25 or more horse on a six,,,,, maybe on an eight and just maybe???

I used to drive a civic and the torque curve is so peaky that some people would be scared to drive them how they are meant to be driven. If the driver is afraid to take it all the way to redline you will probably win. I'm willing to bet your area under the torque curve is a lot healthier but he can hold each gear longer if he knows what he's doing.

You'd be surprised how many people are scared of redlining their car. The first time I rode in a 4th gen the guy was shifting around 3500 when he was trying to show me how fast it was. I remember thinking I would have a decent shot at him in my civic because of how he drove! (pretty sure it was an LT1 since I graduated in 1997 and this happened in HS). In college I rode in an LS1 vette (automatic even) and it was eye opening. Never looked at a Honda since.

Launch from a dig so you get the advantage of RWD weight transfer.
