anyway of hooking up a pioneer cd changer to an Alpine head unit

Just as it says, is there any way to hook up a 12 disk Pioneer cd changer to a Alpine head unit.

I would buy an Alpine 12 disk cd changer but what is the point if it doesn't play CD-R's

No can do. Since there is no industry standard for digital protocol you can't mix and match HU's and changers.

I'm a bit miffed at Alpine myself. I just switched from a Kenwood setup to Alpine. Why in the world their 6-disc changers will play CD-R's and their 12 disc changers won't doesn't make any sense at all.
