Wow...way to completely miss the mark. The majority of the article talks about Pontiac in 80s and years before. The article is from L.A., so the writer was sure to get his "gas-guzzling" and lack of environmental cars, shots in. He only mentions that the Solstice was in the Transformers movie after the person mentioned in his article that the G8 and Solstice were great cars for Pontiac. :rolleyes:

I have got to stop reading these articles...it just pisses me off.

If you read the whole article, it is not that byassed or off the mark from a pop culture perspective.

I don't get the reaction in this thread. You guys don't agree that Pontiac was a "pop culture icon" in the 60s/70s/80s?

I just hope that someday, when prosperous times return, Pontiac will be back, reinvented and strong as ever, part of America's culture as "Apple Pie and Chevrolet"...
