I put a set in a friends Trans Am a little while ago. You cant use the stock plastic mounting piece but what we did was trace out that plastic piece onto 1/4" MDF, cut it out, made the correct notch's in it and drilled out the wood in the same places the stock plastic piece mounted to and put it in. You will want to get some weather stripping or whatnot to help seal the MDF around the door (not like it matters to much with all the holes in the door itself).
