I think i remember hearing someone say that by putting GM limited slip additive in the M6 it will smooth things out. Is this correct and has anyone done this or not...and does it even make a differance.

Thanks

ugh! havent heard of it but dont see how an additive for a rear end will help a tranny?!?!?

I got some limited slip additive from autozone and on the back it says it can be used in manual transmissions. I am just not sure what it would exactly do in a manual transmission and was just curious if anyone knew.

My brother used to run the service dept. at a dealership back home. He said it helps out the rear ends on trucks, so it can't really hurt. I tried it, but my ass end wasn't making any noise to begin with.

hmm.. might help out the synchro's on a high miler transmission, maybe. might add some friction to make them work a bit smoother. otherwise i dunno...

I do believe it is recommended. I use it in my 97SS with the Torson Ltd.Slip. Supposed to quiet things down. Costs around $7.00 at dealer. JMHO

It goes in the diff-changed it yesterday. I bought Red Line gear oil at Thunder and they recommended the limited slip additive.

I was talking about using it in the tranny. I know it works in the diff cause i had a noisey rear end when i turned until i dumped this in the diff then it fixed it. i just thought i heard someone say that they used it in the tranny and was wondering what the outcome was....
