Anyone Heard from Brent Franker (aka vinyl guy)?

I order a few things last week and got no responce. I wanted to know a few more things but still no responce. Anyone heard from him lately?

His screen name is Brent94Z. It shows he was last on here Apr 6th.

When I ordered my stuff from him around ~January he replied within 24 hours each time I sent him an e-mail.

I sent him an e-mail 3 nights ago about custom vinyls and haven't heard from him yet? Maybe he's on vacation?

I sent an email, but I didn't send payment until he gets back to me letting me know he is still taking them.

Haven't heard back yet. :shrug:

He hasn't been posting much in the last few years. Not sure why... :no:

Heard back from him. Busy as hell at work was his reply. Hopefully he can start getting things out soon.

Yah it's wierd, I emailed him a couple weeks back and nothing.

He's def a busy guy, but he does good work.

Hang in there...it's worth it in the end.

He got back to me and everything is being taken care of.

Brent is a good guy...he'll take care of you.

But a guy in his business deserves to answer his inquiries DAILY.
Not 3 days, not weeks, ...
He did a lot of work for me over the years, but it all fell apart when I had customers wanting stuff done, & I couldn't get answers myself from my supplier.
Not to be harsh, but its the same old 'work is busy' story.
I wish we could salvage the business-resource some times, but I think I deserve better service too, as I had spent thousands of dollars on his stuff.
Disappointed, but always satisfied with the work he did get to me. :(

He's always been good to me, I sent him money today and he got right back to me saying it'll go out right away. I trust Brent, more than I trust a lot of people thats for sure.

For the record, he apologized and got back to me a few days ago. Still a good guy IMO ;)

For what its worth, I bought several pieces from Brent in 2006 and all have held-up perfectly, even without having a garage. There is no discoloration or peeling whatsoever. I'll definately use him again, although I'll know not to wait until the last minute when ordering.

I trust Brent, more than I trust a lot of people thats for sure.

Id rather wait to hear from a guy who "does this on the side" of his regular life then to not wait and try another source.

Ditto with this guy, I bought some overlays when my camaro was repainted back in 06. The car has sat outside under a tree and just out in general ofr the greater part of the last 2 years. The vinyl is still in great shape.

Hey Guys! Yeah, I'm still around just not nearly as active on the board as I used to be :( And, unfortunately, it is a work thing. Work has gotten in the way of my favorite hobby... my Camaros! I'd love to quit so I can spend more time with fun stuff but not an option for me right now. A lot of people have quit where I work and it has made it harder on those of us that have remained because we have to pick up the slack which means more overtime. One of these days I do see things settling down to where I'm able to come on here and read ALL the posts like I used to do and enjoy so much! So, not trying to use work as an excuse but it is what it is and if anybody knows of another job in my area that pays as much as my current one, please let me know and I'd be happy to cut back on my hours! LOL!

Thanks very much too guys for the kind words. I do feel very bad when I end up working long stretches and can't get back to you guys in a timely manner. I just sometimes run out of hours in a day.

PontiacFan, not exactly sure who you are? I might have only come close to that amount with a guy who makes killer FRCs and I made decals for them. A while back he/you said he needed some pretty quick and I couldn't get them out that quick and thought I mentioned that then never heard back. Figured he went to somebody else. Don't blame him... I couldn't do it. I also made some caliper decals for another guy but probably not even $100 worth so that doesn't sound like you. Either way, I apologize if I messed ya up and will be the first to admit that I'm not the best one to get stuff from if you need it sent out immediately in all cases because I just can't do that. Sometimes I can but can't commit to it since I have a full time+ job.

silentsprintero, actually, it is when I go ON vacation that I can reply nearly instantly! :lol: When I'm working long stretches is when there are delays in my replies. My vacations are when I get the most done with my decals. Hahaha

And, it makes me feel very good to hear that you guys are at least happy with the product. I've always been a Camaro guy who makes decals because of his hobby... not a decal guy that makes Camaro decals. I think that is where the big difference is between me and some others. I spend the extra $$$ on the best vinyl I can buy... most don't. And, if I see even the smallest flaw, I throw that decal away and make another... msot don't. Being a Camaro ethusiast myself I demand the best so that's all that I make :)

Anyway, very sorry to those who I've messed up by taking a little longer than maybe somebody else. But, in the end, I hope that you were able to enjoy what you got and it made your car stand out a little more for ya :D

I've ordered from Brent on several occasions over the past 5 years and always received quality vinyl in a very timely manner. I read Brent was busy, so I ordered some caliper decals with plenty of time to spare and he still replied within the day. I wouldn't go to anyone else
