Low Oil Light

The low oil light coming on a few days ago. I decided to do my oil since it was about due any way.

I did the oil last night, and the low oil light still came on on the way to and from work today. After I got back home I checked the level and it was still full.

Does anybody have any ideas on what this could be?

This is on my 97 3.8 m5 Camaro.

Not sure if yours is the same as the LS1. Remember looking this up before. Once triggered (about 2 quarts low) it won't turn off until the PCM sees 194* ECT and then ignition must stay off for at least one hour. Since the level is fine I'd give it a couple more warm up cycles.

I forgot to mention in my first post that this seems to be an intermittent problem. The light comes on sometimes, but not every time I start my car.
