How much does a Cam cost

Looking for a good cam, how are comp cams, crane cams, or hot cams. Also are there any others you would recommend. And what is the typical price range to purchase one of these cams.

Depends on who's grind it is.

Comp stuff, whether under their name or with some other shop's name stamped on it is usually $380-400ish.

When you start getting into one-off customs from companies who do nothing but custom cams for race shops.. it gets more spendy - ~$450-500.

A "good cam" will depend upon what you want to do with it methinks :).

How about install cost from a shop? How many hours can be expected for a basic cam swap?
