california duster anyone??OneBadRedz28 04-06-2009, 12:33 PM hey just was thinking about buying one is there anyone on here that has one and can tell me if they like it and what not. thanks! blkz2832 04-06-2009, 02:41 PM I have had one for about 5 years now and it still works great. I believe it tells you to do this but if you buy one make sure and let it sit on a newspaper for about 24 hours to absorb all the excess wax. moparman 04-06-2009, 03:32 PM I've used one for years. Works good for light dust, pollen, etc. 96 Z 28 04-06-2009, 07:11 PM I have one too... And make sure to keep it in the case and follow the instructions to keep it clean... But otherwise does a job of quickly removing dust as needed, although it not a replacement for regular washes:D Chrisz24 04-06-2009, 08:38 PM It's one of the most basic yet useful tools. Great for clearing off dust and tree stuff in fall off the car, I put mine in the wash which is a no no, but I then sprayed it with spray wax and it once again worked great. Brangeta 04-07-2009, 02:43 AM I love ours. Gets the dust off very very easily. Just make sure to never wash it, or it supposedly won't work again. if a bird poops on your car or something else nasty, wipe it off with a wet paper towel before dusting. moparman 04-07-2009, 08:05 AM Warning, Danger Will Robinson, do not use it to remove dew. LOL z95lt1 04-07-2009, 09:13 PM i have a small one that i use to clean the dust off the dash broad and it does a great job. 87DJP2001 04-08-2009, 07:43 AM I have had the same one for years and it dose the job on a dry car. Just remember it is for dust an NOT a dirt & grime remover. OneBadRedz28 04-08-2009, 06:01 PM hey thanks for the replies i am defiantly going to buy one especially since pollen season is on the way so i dont have to wash the car 10 times a day. Brangeta 04-08-2009, 06:47 PM hey thanks for the replies i am defiantly going to buy one especially since pollen season is on the way so i dont have to wash the car 10 times a day. I have to use mine nearly everyday since the GXP parks outside. Absolutely disgusting what happens to a non-silver car left outside this time of year. brianswimmer23 04-10-2009, 05:07 PM hey thanks for the replies i am defiantly going to buy one especially since pollen season is on the way so i dont have to wash the car 10 times a day. just imagine if you had a black car like i did i was always washing it. i used the duster for a while but you MUST keep it clean!!! yy 04-13-2009, 09:59 PM I've had mine for a few years and must say that it's definitely worth the investment. Even inside a garage, my black cars get very dusty. This tool has come in very handy for those times. I have never washed mine yet. Just take it outside and shake it, use an air compressor to blast off the dust and particles, etc. PontiacFan 05-04-2009, 06:30 PM All so true, ..., But don't compromise & buy an 'off-brand'. Best money you'll spend this month! I've used them for years too. 1995blackttopta 05-08-2009, 12:02 PM i wonder if there is a place to buy a new cali duster case. my duster is still working flawlessly but the puch is falling apart pretty badly, lol. it's 5+ years old TheV6Bird 07-25-2009, 09:07 PM I've always heard those keep the dirt and pollen in the duster, and that the old dirt and pollen could scratch your car, is this true? moparman 07-25-2009, 10:23 PM I've been using the same one for a few years, and haven't seen any scratches. matt14 07-26-2009, 04:17 AM I've been using the same one for a few years, and haven't seen any scratches. +2 i havent had any scratches on mine 87DJP2001 07-26-2009, 06:41 AM I've always heard those keep the dirt and pollen in the duster, and that the old dirt and pollen could scratch your car, is this true? I heard if you wash your car you may scracth the paint. So don't use the duster or wash the car. | ||
