fuel injector question

i have a 93z i believe it has stock 24lb. What would you guys estimate on hp gains if i swapped over to 32 or 36lb injectors.

stock heads and i have a slightly bigger cam then stock.

You won't get a horsepower gain unless you are starving it for fuel right now and it is running too lean for lack of enough injector. With that in mind, larger injectors don't directly give you a horsepower gain.

93 was the only year with 22 #/HR injectors. With your limited mods, they should still be OK.

Increasing injector size is done to allow greater fuel flow on engines that are flowing signicifantly more air and therefore require more fuel. (i.e. turbo, not cold air intake)
The computer will need to be retuned to rescale fueling.

30# maybe or slightly larger.

Depends on the flywheel HP, quality of the tune, efficiency of the combustion chamber configuration, etc. As a minimum size, get an injector that is 0.07 X the flywheel HP. A 450 HP setup would require 0.07 X 450 = 31.5 #/HR minimum. In that case, I'd go with a 36.

Nothing wrong with going to a larger injector, within reason. It helps keep the duty cycle down. But you will not see any extra HP from the injectors' excess capacity.

85 to 93 came with 22lb.
