reamo04 04-04-2009, 04:34 PM couple things
1) look at the driverside header, on TOP of the collector it looks like there is an 02 bung....wonder what thats for cause an o2 sensor definately will not fit here
2) the flanges are slotted, ive seen this done before, but i have seen them leak more often
3) they are 304ss, but how thick? I know a few people that have used ebay stainless headers in turbo builds, and they always crack, however we also have a ton of weight hanging onto those pipes. But its something to think about, cause i am sure it is very THIN stainless
4) also take into consideration, most of the people that have left feedback probably have not installed them on the car at the point of leaving feedback.
spainman61 04-04-2009, 05:18 PM I have a set of these headers I just got put on my car.The driver side gave us a little trouble real close to the steering shaft and the clearance at the floor on driver side and y pipe should have more space. The passenger side went in no trouble at all I thought that side would be worse.

It says its 16 gauge and a 3/8" flange.
I'd personally go with LPP, he sells them on ebay too. The price is pretty comparable. A lot of feedback over on ls1tech about them, but he is redesigning his LT1 version. Should be out in April sometime. That's what I plan on running with my new setup.

Thats exactly how my Kooks are. O2 bungs are correct, and the slotting does not affect sealing, flange straightness does.
The only thing I don't like is how the collector narrows and then expands back out to 3".

really? i have never seen o2 bungs on top of the collector like that....
ive seen a couple people (given, their turbo setups), slot the flanges, and the gasket doesnt really have enough metal pushing on it right there and it will blow out where its slotted at.
pimpinphil 04-04-2009, 09:54 PM hi
i was just wondering if anyone has used these, not sure if they are any good or not,i was going to buy lpp, but i havent seen them for a while, if they are coming back out in april, i think ill just wait, lpp is american made isn't it? thanks for the reply's.

Yep, only the driver side is like that. There's plenty of room under there, and the stock harness reaches the O2.
EDIT: I found a pic of it before I installed them.

spainman61 04-05-2009, 04:38 PM I like the headers I'd buy them again.I had mine jet hot coated. I like them alot better than the old short headers.

I have Kooks, I was just posting up a pic and the info about the O2 bungs. The Kooks are definitely worth the money if you can afford them. When the new LPP's come out with the fitment issues solved they should be a hot item.
mdacton 04-06-2009, 08:02 AM They had best offer on these with free shipping. I offered $400 and they took it. I am going to try them out on my brothers car
pimpinphil 04-06-2009, 09:15 AM mdaction,if you could please keep us updated. thanks did lpp get everything straight with shipping and what not? i heard there was some people that paid for the headers, and either it tooks weeks/maybe even months before they received their headers, did this get resolved? thanks again
