I have 2000 z28 camero and need some help with finding a live wire to get my boost gauge to work right. Is one of the fuses in the inside fuse panel a live fuse when the key gets turn on? Please HELP

Get a multi meter and check for a 12 volt source under the dash. It should be hot with the key on and dead with the key off. Then just splice into that. This is also something that should be in general tech, not in the advanced section. I don't even understand half the stuff posted in this section O.o

Wrong forum.... this will fit better on "General 67-02 F-Body Tech". I'll move the post there for you.

There should be a small rectangular opening in the fuse box at the end of the dash, labeled "IGN". It has a 1/4" male spade lug. You get a matching 1/4" female spade connector at Radio Shack, crimp it to the gauge +12V wire, and push the wire onto the fuse box lug. That is "switched" ignition power.

The light can be powered from the fuse in the panel for the dimmer switch. Not sure how similar your 00 is to my 94 (and I know the Firebird fuse panel is upside down compared to the CamAro panel).
