F/S 1980 Silver Corvette - Needs Work

I have a 1980 Corvette with 139,000 miles on it and a clean title that I’m selling which I bought back in 2001. I purchased it with damage to the driver front fiberglass and bumper. Since then, I pulled the front end off and purchased a few parts it needed and it’s been sitting in the garage ever since. That’s about as far as I went, then I bought another vette that I drove for a while, then started a full restore on that one a few years back and now need the room in my garage. I was going to replace the nose, but it could be repaired if preferred. The parts I bought for it are; a battery, all the front bumper supports, a urethane front bumper, and turn signal. Besides the nose repairs needed, there are only a few minor fiberglass cracks that need repairing to the passenger door and quarter panel. It still needs a left front headlight assembly, wheel well, radiator support (which is rotted, not hit damaged) and radiator (leaks). There are some parts worn like the tires, suspension and steering. The right t-top has a crack in the glass. Also, the interior needs some work such as the dash pad is cracked, the driver’s seat fiberglass back support is cracked, and some gauges don’t work. It’s originally silver (was repainted a different shade of silver) with black interior and 4 speed manual, which I believe is a rare and really nice combination. It still has the original matching numbers L48 engine (fresh oil and filter) and it starts right up and drives (a quick run, there’s no radiator installed). It also has aluminum wheels, a/c, power windows, locks, and antenna. I also listed it on Craig’s List. $4250 or Best Offer!

Here's a link for some parts needed for repairs:

http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?p...4&dept_id=1438

Also, if you go to this link and look up the parts I'm including (bumper, bumper supports, turn signal), you'll see that's alot of money saved in fixing the front end.

Here's a picture of my other vette that I'm currently rebuilding. I'm ready to get the chassis painted, but I don't have room in my garage to build it until I sell my silver vette!

Production Options and Build Statistics

Only 5,726 out of 40,614 Corvettes had the 4-speed manual transmission option, 34,838 were automatics in 1980.

Some neat facts:

Wow, I would have thought that this would have went by now! I had a couple online offers, but people aren't coming through. This is going to make a real nice ride for someone. If I didn't have another Vette and a Mustang to fix up for the wife, I would be fixing this and enjoying it. But wife says it has to go and I need the room in my garage. I'm anxious to get the frame powdercoated and start building the chassis for my other Vette, but I don't want to do it outside! I don't want to put the silver vette outside either, I've always kept it in the garage. I have a 385 Stroker TPI engine, stock 4-speed, and 3.70 Dana rear going in my white Vette, with a full race suspension from Vette Brake Products So, if anyone is interested and wants more pictures or information, please let me know.

It's still available! It's alot easier to glue a fiberglass nose on than to weld in steel quarter panels. It would be a quick fix for someone that's mechanical and motivated!

A quick alternative to trying to repair the damage is just to drop a new nose on:
