Fuel line removal...

how do you remove the rubber fuel lines inside the engine bay??? its a 97 lt1 i need to diconnect it where it goes into the shock tower

The line runs continuously, from the metal fuel lines that end at the rocker panel, near the leading edge of the driver's door, all the way to the connections to the hard lines at the rear of the intake manifold. You have to disconnect them at the metal lines under the car, or at the hard lines. There is no intermediate disconnect that would allow you to remove them from the shock tower. The lines are plastic, not rubber.

I have a 97ss. I removed most all of the stock fuel line except for the fuel return. The "silver" metal connectors that are assembled to the plastic line appears to be heat-swaged. Very difficult to remove from the plastic, and, I had to cut it loose. I machined new aluminum fittings to reuse the plastic line (tank fuel return). HTH. B.
