I have a 1995 Z28. I parked the 'maro, and in the morning was unable to turn the key in the ignition far enough to start the car. I can get the key just far enough to unlock the steering wheel and to get the transmission into neutral. However, I've changed the lock cylinder and it still will not turn. Am I missing something obvious?
Any help is appreciated...

I have gone out and turned the key JUST enough that I can get the wheel turned freely. Could this be something with the car not recognizing what gear the car is in?
And I forgot to add:
1995 Z28, 5.7L Automatic transmission
Thank you in advance

Could be the ignition switch is jammed or knocked out of adjustment. Check the "How to's" section of my Tech Page for info on the switch.

Thank you shoe, I now don't have to worry about it. One day after trying to fix it, my neighbor woke me up at 6:30 telling me that someone hit my car. Right now the car is at an angle to the road it was parked on, but the rear tires are still pointing straight. Thank you for your help.
