Current set-up is Jet-Hot(Hooker) long tubes and ORY to a Magnaflow
cat-back. The Y-pipe needs to go! It has been a leak issue from day one because of it's fit and alignment issues.
What are the altenatives out there? The Stainless Works one looks like it can be worked with a little for trimming and fitting. Also considering just having a custom shop make one, possibly with cats.
What has worked for everybody?

I had Pacesetter ORY on my last Z and my current Z and it has worked just fine. They clearance it to fit up tighter to the body.

Usually, you need to have the Y pipe that is made by the same company that made your headers. The collectors aren't in exactly the same place from brand to brand, so you're likely to have fitment issues if you mix and match.

Call up Hooker and tell them your Y-pipe leaks. They'll fix you up. :)

I can't imagine the fit getting much worse than it is with any brand. Out of the box the C/L of the headers to the C/L of the y-pipe dimension was off at least an inch. After some cutting and fiddling it's pretty close, but it's still out of square.

I like my mufflex Y pipe. 3in piping all the way to the 4in Y collector. Flow baby flow :)

This may help.. The Pacesetter Y-Pipe attaches to the Pacesetter header 3 inch OD collectors 28 inches center-to-center apart and just about 4 inches from the back of the A4 transmission pan. That's about 14 inches forward of the pass side CAT mounting hanger. The front of the 2 Y's are 3 inch ID and slip over the collector and the rear Y is 3 inch OD ending about 5 inches behind the tunnel brace where it meets the CAT back exhaust pipe in the center of the car. The driver side of the Y pipe has a flat section on top to clear the protruding floor pan support and the fuel lines.
