Anyone have any experience with this Opti-Spark or have any facts whether first hand or second hand based on someone who has used this opti? They are $300 and are comparable to the dynaspark opti.

Search "All-Ignition" on here. Might not be about that particular Opti, but their factory replacement one sucks.

^Yeah I've done that but haven't come up with this particular one yet. If the companies stock replacement "sucks" that doesn't bode well for their bread and butter piece. How did you come upon the opinion that it "suck". I'm interested. Trying to get a piece equivalent to the Dynaspark without droping $500.

Just countless threads from people that bought the unit from them on E-bay. They were selling their knock-off unit as an AC Delco piece. It would last a few months normally and they didn't seem to stand behind their product well.

I do remember folks talking about the ebay item. If that's the same product yeah I'd definately stear clear of that.

As far as I am concerned, I would not buy anything from them after their previous opti dealings. They made their bed, now they can lie in it.
If it is a generic version of the Dynaspark, they will probably be available from other sources.

I purchased a Dynaspark Opti. It did not fit a 97 LT1 engine (timing cover interfearance). I machined the "cnc" housing to fit. It was also coroded inside. The rotor was a stock piece with one (1) single rivet to hold the brass contact. Also, the internal cover seal that separates the high voltage section from the opti section was a loose fit. The gm parts opti is a good unit. Always fits. I think gm opti is better than the Dynaspark. All you need to do is use two (2) rivets to fix the brass contact. I have also used the Summit Opti. It is on par with the gm opti, but, also must be modded with the rotor contact rivet. I wasted my money on Dynaspark. I am guilty of a bad purchase, and, I could have had two gm parts opti for a single Dynaspark (kicking myself). All of thiis is, of course, my experience and opinion. I am intimate with the gm opti.
