Interesting press realease on the Volt
*edit* hmmm, link doesn't seem to work anymore. sorry guys.
Doesn't say anything new as far as what the Volt is, but talks about strategies that GM and policy makers are considering to help make it more widely accepted and affordable for a larger number of people. Also makes the good point that the quickest way to make this technology better and more affordable is to get it out to market and get more real world data. If more people find the Volt financially attractive (or at least not too expensive), the more response you get, and the better/faster you can make future product.
I think it's a good looking car...probably look pretty slick in black

No doubt they need to work on the price. Spending 4x,xxx dollars on a car so that you can save xxx on gas kind of baffles me, especially for the size car it is. Why not get a Malibu and use the 20 grand you save for gas over the life of the car?
The current Prius defies that logic. I think the Volt will end up just like the Prius: a certain group will run to it and think they are better than everyone because they are helping the enviroment so much.
