Ferrari 599XX
Ferrari 599XX
At Geneva, Ferrari unveiled two highly rumored variants of the 599. The 599 HGTE (a lightly modified 599) and this thing, the 599XX, a non-street legal machine to join the Corse Clienti programme.

I'm pretty sure this was put together for performance and not looks. You're never going to beat stock for looks, when it comes to Ferrari.

Looks to be real enough for me. I'd be willing to bet that Michelotto is doing the race version for Ferrari, they usually do. They do very nice work.

Lots of innovation in the 599XX.
Exciting downforce control tech as a result of Ferrari involving the Actiflow BV folks, brake cooling from F-1 with the Wheel Donuts, carbon pad tech which allows smaller, thus lighter, calipers. It goes on and on.
The Ferrari 599XX is one of the most "real" things shown at Geneva.
Good gravy, I'm just saying I don't care for the looks of it vs. the street version of the car (which is already insane fast).
I mean, yeah, for the gazillionaire who already owns a few Ferraris and gets invited to drive this thing on track only (like the Enzo FXX), that's great.
I'm just saying that styling-wise, I don't care for it. I'd be happy to have the extra power though (who wouldn't) in an otherwise stock 599.
And I still say they could have found some light weight wheels that are better looking (particularly in color) than those things.
But yes, I recognize that the XX "track test" Ferraris are the real deal.
Dang, can the gang rape be over now?
