'96 Subframe Concern?

Not to long ago, i took a good look underneath my car, and noticed that the front subframes, right next to the jack points, on both sides, seem to be dented upwards, and stretched. I know the car got into a wreck before i purchased it. But dont know the true exent of the damage (almost all front end components were replaced. except the window washer resevoir)

I will take pics when i get the opportunity, probably late afternoon. But before i do that, any thoughts, i suspect it may be bent, but dont know how serious it is, all four wheels make contact, had a front alignment recently, and shop didnt mention anything. Steering wheel is off set though, and nonresponsive (but i think thats the rag joint, which i will soon replace with an eliminator). And if they are bent, should it be a big concern?

Any thoughts?

Maybe wrecker driver used t-hooks and put to much tension on the cables. Or the more likely scenario the body shop used these holes as attach points to straighten the frame. They should have centered your steering wheel when they did the alignment. I would take it back and let them do it on the machine.

Ok, ill take it to the alignment shop again soon, but it seems that the sheet metal on the right of the rail is broekn off, will that need to be fixed? Just trying to see if it is a serious stuctural issue as well, cause to help stiffen it i plan on welding on some subframe connectors.

Sfc,s are always a good idea on these cars.

Our body shop has equipment that measures certain point on the car and they have to straighten them to factory specs. It a real shop did the work they would have it back to original and the car would have the wheels aligned. I put sub frame connectors on mine and the bolt holes all lined up. Mine had been in a front end accident but it was at low speeds.
