It doesn't say that it is the LSA that the CTS-V uses, but the specs are dang close.

So, to Pontiac, the GXP brand is the top of the line here, right? What might they call a G8 with the LSA?

I like that they could put the blower on it without changing the hood.

Historically:
GTP? SSEi? GTO?

Cribbing from other manufacturers:
GSXR? GXP-R? GXP-S? GXP V-spec? ()

Totally new:
GXR?

I kinda like GTO, but I have a problem with a 4-door GTO.

In general, I have a problem with car names consisting of a series of letters that don't stand for anything. I like the G8, but I hate the name. Tagging more letters on the end makes it worse, not better.

LS3 with a Harrop supercharger bolted on top. This isn't a "factory" engine.

Considering that a fully loaded G8 GXP costs right at $40k and the CTS-V starts at $58k, could an LSA powered G8 Comp-G reach $50k? How much would Cadillac fight that?

What else could they add to the Comp-G to make it more appealing? 20x9" wheels with wider tires, larger (Brembo?) brakes, heads up display, HID headlights, EZ Key, Magnetic Ride Control and a lower suspension? No way that could happen. It would make too much sense. This is GM we are talking about

a 50K G8 in this economy when GM is trying to slim down and make a case for being profitable. And they throw out a nitch halo car?
No it wouldn't make sense for GM at all till times change and the economy is on the upswing..and even then..is Pontiac or the G8 still around?

no, it was a one of prototype just to see how far Holden could take the concept. It has an LS7, and a price tag of about $150,000

G8 GXP with a TVS1900 from MagnaCharger would fit the bill pretty nicely...

a warranty would be nice to keep also...

What does a Magnacharger kit cost these days? My warranty is finally out on my truck :)

Hahaha.... pshh $150k is pocket change.

Put a LS3 in it, minus a couple accessories sell it for $30k and call it a GTO

That puts the total cost of the car over $45k. I have a feeling that if we do ever get an LSA G8 that is about what it would cost. I would hope that we also get a brake upgrade thrown in though.
