30thZ286speed 02-12-2009, 01:49 AM Looks like the mystery car we've seen in the shots from the sets of Transformers 2.

formula79 02-12-2009, 02:35 AM Looks like a C6 with birth defects? Who signed off on this mess..even buy concept car standards it's bad.
99SilverSS 02-12-2009, 03:16 AM Looks very alien up front. I like the stance and the very exaggerated fenders. Side view isn't bad but the front and rear are a bit too extreme.
SSbaby 02-12-2009, 04:47 AM I'll go against the grain. I love it - it's got great proportions. It looks aggressive... unlike the C5 which looked a bit err 'feminine'. It can't be mistaken for another car, it's definitely got Corvette DNA in that styling and would be an upgrade on the current C6 (IMHO).
My Red 93Z-28 02-12-2009, 07:50 AM Extremely exaggerated fenders, front and rear bumpers that are having an identitly crisis, and a split rear window...:yuck:
No thanks.
shock6906 02-12-2009, 08:23 AM None for me, thanks. :barf:
79Zee28 02-12-2009, 08:41 AM I do like the headlight set up. I agree the old pop ups turn into air breaks when activated. But, I'm not really crazy about the current headlight design. I think this example get the job done without, standing out. It looks like it would be a cleaner design if, they incorporated it into the current model.

I guess I'm in the minority too. I'm hoping it's hinting at the C7, whenever it finally arrives.
OldSchoolSS 02-12-2009, 10:25 AM Looks like the lovechild of a C6 and the Cadillac Cien concept car.
Z28Wilson 02-12-2009, 10:28 AM Ghastly. GM has done some really slick concepts over the last few years - and then they come out with this hot mess.....
QATransAm 02-12-2009, 10:29 AM I'll take one, looks awesome!
indieaz 02-12-2009, 10:47 AM I think if it were toned down a bit it would be pretty awesome.
Raven99 02-12-2009, 10:59 AM Overdone IMO. Looks like a caricature of a Corvette concept. Split window redux? GMAB
OutsiderIROC-Z 02-12-2009, 12:14 PM I don't like the front, but do like rear. Split window = :metal:
jg95z28 02-12-2009, 12:20 PM Isn't it nothing more than a movie car? While I'll agree it doesn't fit my tastes, isn't bashing it as a potential-production concept comparable to bashing the car from Corvette Summer? :p
Bob Cosby 02-12-2009, 03:41 PM "Lord Batman, your car is ready!"
ps....we forgot to paint it black
AdioSS 02-12-2009, 05:54 PM I like it!
SSbaby 02-12-2009, 06:04 PM Isn't it nothing more than a movie car?
Who knows? That's why I thought I'd offer my 2c on design perspective! :D
I'm sure designers are gauging our collective reaction to this 'show' car. The fact that it appears alongside some other movie cars destined for production has me intrigued.
jmsjags 02-12-2009, 06:06 PM looks like they took way too many styling cues from cadillac. i do love the split rear windows tho
FUTURE_OF_GM 02-12-2009, 10:10 PM Are you guys freakin' kidding me?!?!
Haven't any of you ever seen a classic Corvette and noticed 90% of these traits on it.
I think this car is amazing and I'd buy it in a heartbeat. (Then again, I like cars that look as if they'll rip your face off)
mdenz3 02-12-2009, 10:59 PM Looks like an radical redisgn of a c6. I thought the C7 was saposed to be a big depature from the current?
Northwest94Z 02-13-2009, 12:27 AM I don't think anyone really knows what the C7 is supposed to look like. All we've heard is smaller and lighter, but that was before GM's financial crisis.
Before everyone overreacts bear in mind that this is more than likely simply a movie prop/ loose design study. Some or none of it will ever get into a legitimate C7 mock-up. The 5th gen was a go when it was incorporated into the movie. The Stingray concept is not.
The grill needs a little work and the split in the split window needs to be a little thinner. Cops can hide behind that thing. Other than that
King Moose SS 02-13-2009, 07:15 PM Looks like the lovechild of a C6 and the Cadillac Cien concept car.
Yea, I really see the Cadillac Cien in it. I don't like this concept much though... I remeber when I first saw the Cien concept it took my breath away, it looked gorgeous.
Ed 2001 SS 02-13-2009, 08:34 PM I like it, for the most part. The profile view is great. The front needs refinement.
mfb_lt1birdman 02-13-2009, 09:12 PM Has some interesting styling for sure. The rear bumper area is horrid to me though. Looks really cool on 3/4 angles and I kinda like the split rear window incorporation.
96SSConv#2033 02-13-2009, 09:34 PM I like the profile view, but the front and rear fenders are too exaggerated.
Did anyone notice the reflection in the profile pic?
B
1fastdog 02-13-2009, 10:32 PM Looks decidedly like an Asian take on the C6, or an old Hot Wheels ready to do the loopdeloop..... It doesn't do anything good for me... A bit too "George Barris" for my taste.
99SilverSS 02-14-2009, 12:45 AM "Lord Batman, your car is ready!"
ps....we forgot to paint it black
 Will Batman be British in the next movie?
detltu 02-14-2009, 10:00 PM  Will Batman be British in the next movie?
I can dig it. It isn't perfect for a real road car/ daily driver but as a concept car I think it's awesome. Like the stingray emblem in the back to. Kind of subtle but very cool. Reminds me of some of the old Corvette concept cars like the Mako Sharks, and the Stingray III, Corvette Indy/CERVIII. Would never make it for production and wouldn't look right for a regular car but great as a styling excercise.

 :thumb:
FiefSS 02-15-2009, 01:18 PM I love it... it's a concept car. If this was to be a production car all the exagerated features would be turned down.. but those rear quarters are fantastic, the front needs a bit of work.. but it has a real presence in person! I hope the next vette looks like this car.
1997FormulaBird 02-15-2009, 01:32 PM yuk im not a fan. There are funny lines in funny places. I hope thats not an indication of the C7
SCNGENNFTHGEN 02-17-2009, 02:08 PM Go speedracer go.... It is a bit too cartoonish for a production Corvette, but also not bad for what it is IMO.
I think the GM robot guys get their butts kicked in this movie. The second movie in a trilogy is usually the darker one.
